Diagnosis Biopsy results in 2 days

Its sooo hard waiting for results, isnt it??!

Ive an appointment on 2nd nov (2017) to get my biopsy results.

Some routine blood tests after a broken shoulder in 2016 showed unusual enzyme levels, including raised calcium. Further tests for that showed abnormal

Liver results. So Since Nov 2016 Ive been having scans & blood tests to find the cause. I didnt start feeling i well until Feb 2017 so I was happy to be ahead of the curve, and that the doctors were following evidence rather than my trying to explain a range if apparently unrelated symptoms.

Its been a long slow summer though, with long gaps between communications, and Ive been in a very dark place until a revelation of Cirrhosis in September.

I was very shocked by it - I dont and never have drunk alcohol at all, Ive always tried to eat healthily, recently list 4 stone after gaining it through antidepressants years ago, and it all felt rather ironic!

So after every kind of blood tests and scan Im now about to find out what the cause is - my symptoms certainly fit the AIH/PBC profile but Im trying not to presume...... (but I have joined the AIH group... !) I have to get through the next couple of days somehow!!

My confidence in my care team is shaky - The last time I thought I was going to get a diagnosis the appointment went really badly, and although an apology was given, its made me nervous of expecting too much, but at the same time I want to ask everything!

Its so good to have a place I can share this - Ive put off signing up til I had a diagnosis, but I need the extra support now!
