Anyone had blood test called liver abs and also free light chains I have autoimmune hepititis

I haven't a clue what tests my hubby has had as no one actually discusses them other than to say if things are normal or not.

I can't be 100% sure but think the liver abs test being described is probably just your liver antibody levels to see if there is active auto-immune stuff going on.

The 'serum free light chains' test in your case is probably to check on the effectiveness of treatment as it can ascertain your immunoglobulin levels & your medication might be adjusted dependent on findings. Full details of it at :- labtestsonline.org/understa...

Thankyou for replying I'm going through a awful lot of pain as I have pain round my left rib been like this 9 weeks n it's affected both arms and shoulders n going into my back I had fibroscan 4 weeks ago n they are repeating it again in 3 weeks time

Obviously because of this going on with rib pain etc I'm wondering if there is somehow link to my liver my esr levels are raised n dr is suspecting gastritis
