Hello there. I am trying to find a company who would be able to offer Multi-Trip European travel insurance. I have early stage cirrhosis of the liver.

I was just about to ask that myself. I'm sure there has been a post a while ago regarding this . I have end stage cirrhosis.

Hello there, I don't know exactly how the stages of cirrhosis are diagnosed. I would guess that it can be assessed relating to liver function as may be derived from blood tests?

Well you can have liver function tests like I have been having now since 2008 when I was first diagnosed. By then I was admitted in to hospital with ascites. I looked 9 months pregnant and my legs and ankles were all full of water .I had three drains done and an endoscopy to rule out any varices. I still have normal liver function regardless of being end stage. Mine was caused by alcohol. Are you under a hepetologist? How did they find out you had first stage? I think first stage is a fatty liver which can be reversed by a change in diet. There's Lots of lovely people on this group that know so much about liver. Try Avanti I got an annual worldwide policy with cover for numerous health issues. Expensive but worth it.
