Another beautiful Greek morning, how lucky I am to be able to run here
I'm still aiming to complete the Magic Plan 60 minute/10k so today was a 35 minute run. The sun was shining, it was around 8C, the sea sparkled and the spring flowers swayed in the gentle breeze. Magic indeed.
I was going slowly but the NRC app seemed to have different ideas. The kms went past a whole lot faster on the app than on my watch, so that by the time my 35minutes was up it was telling me I'd run 4.45 km. Garmin said it was nearer 4km. This is the beauty of measuring the run by time rather than distance, they agreed it was 35 minutes๐
Apart from the fact that we had a power cut which meant a cold shower post run (I HATE cold water) it was a wonderful start to the day.

I've resisted running by time for so long... trying to remember why ๐I think it's working way better than distance - less feeling I need to speed up to get to the next km, I can just enjoy it a lot more.
That run sounds about as perfect as perfect can beโฆso that power cut might have been the universe getting revenge!! Cold showers are grim. Hopefully you had some more sun to warm you up!
Swings and roundabouts it was lovely to just be reminded that once we get through this grim winter we'll have spring โฅ
A cold shower isn't so high a price, is it? I was almost (but very definitely not quite) tempted to jump in the sea after the run but then I thought 'I'll get in up to my knees and then start whinging' so decided against it. Plus I wasn't dressed for swimming. And while it might have been sunny it definitely wasn't hot!!
Back to reality now, gazing out of my window at grey skies, wrapped up in a big cardi
