It’s too icy and cold out on the Trails so I opted for an indoor run. I’ve not been able to get warm all day so I stayed in and ran instead .
Still aching after Yesterday’s fill body strength sesh and wasn’t sure if my body had any energy to run , seems it did as it’s been a while since I managed a 10k .
Legs felt good I felt good . Let’s hope my 2025 is more running related

🍏 Wow thats amazing! Your muscles have good memory!! Shows how important strength training is!! Well done on getting going indoors! Hopefully the weather will improve next week & be warmer! Do you listen to music or podcasts to keep you motivated?
Thanks lovely . I always used to think strength training would ruin my runs , little did I know it helps to build me for running, yes sometimes music but mostly podcasts . From Rich Roll to My Dad wrote a Porno to Running won’t save you , which I might add is a really good podcast .
10k on a treadmill!! That’s a Herculean feat of mental toughness. Congratulations!!! Do you want a “graduate10” badge? You’ve earned it! Either drop a line on the thread here or just reply and one of us will virtually pin one on…
I keep forgetting but a massive thanks for your podcast recommendation of “Running won’t save you”. Listened to the first one across several walks this week and it’s so spot on. That’s gone on my subscriptions list!
Ooo yes please would love a badge . And that podcast is great I’m so happy you’re enjoying it . There’s no airs or graces about it that’s why I love it .
I just thought everything they said about what consistency is and isn’t was just so real and so right. I’d love to got for a coffee with them-I reckon they’d be great tk chat to and we’d have loads in common. Yes, I am inventing fantasy friends for myself! The sun is shining but there’s ice. I’m not sure if i’ll make it out or not. Looking forward to episode two now!
