First 10 k in sandals recently. As autumn approaches something for the sole/soul seems appropriate. Namaste.

I absolutely love running in my minimalist shoesand as much as I'd love to try it, my feet are just too sensitive to rogue stones for complete freedom. How do you find the chillier days?

The only thing you can do on chillier days is to use socks. I have toed shoes (Vibrams) which are in no way waterproof.

What helps is two layers of socks: a thin base layer on the inside and a thicker one on the outside. The thin ones are cheap "ToeToe" liner socks and the thicker ones are Injinji.

Your feet will get wet. However, the socks provide a wetsuit effect, holding warmed up water closer to your skin. This is fine as long as you're actively moving and you're not splashing into icy puddles that often.

AllSewnup. It's not a problem YET. Those rogue stones always hurt even the hardened feet. For me when I step on a big one especially in the middle of the foot I cry slightly less now days lol. I'm lucky on many of my runs as they are long grass and mud sea wall tops. Anything below freezing becomes more of a problem when it's wet. But ok in the dry if that makes sense. All the best 👍
