Woohoo!!! Another C25k journey done!

Just came back from my “graduation run” of my revisit to the C25k app and journey!

I love how the new app celebrates this massive milestone for many runners who start off from the couch. It’s not quite the same if you have trained up to 5k so many times, due to injuries, illness or something else. It becomes part of your regular ups and downs of training. Or that’s certainly how it works for me.

But as it’s the first time of using the app since my first time more than 4 years ago, it was a great way to reconnect with the app.

And the updates through the years have really improved or:

- there are more voices

- the commentators also make repeated references to our HU communities, which is nice!

- stepping stones and C25k+ are integrated in the app, and that’s where I am heading to next!

- and the completer celebration animations are fabulous!

So what are my next plans?

- Try out the apps Stepping Stone, Speed, and Stamina session!

- and then start NRC’s 10k plan!

wooohoo!!

Congratulations! Every graduation needs a celebration…I hope you’re rewarding yourself in some way, even if that’s just a massive smile!

I hope you enjoy the new runs-they’re totally different to the stepping stones ones of old (thank goodness in my opinion!!). Looking forward to seeing what you think and where you go next. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Maybe I will give the 'stepping stones' a revisit too 🤔 🍁🍂xxx

Yes! Looking forward to them. And yes, I had a huge smile today! Hubby made us dinner as well, so great evening.

Great news CBDB, 🎉

Congratulations, that takes a lot of committment, coming back to it again and again I know. I wish I had stuck with the app last time I restarted.

You have given me something to consider...

Yeah, it has been 4 years than the last time I used the app. So great to revisit both app and my old route, although I did my route the other way around, which matters as it puts the hill in the last thirds of the run rather than the first third. 😂

wooo hooo I think I deleted the app but it definitely sounds much improved, I didn’t know about the forum until after I had completed but it would’ve been so much help so glad they now advertise it.

Yeah. I have a feeling that maybe only the new added voice coaches make reference to HU as I’m not sure they re-recorded the old voices.

But the app features HU more prominently, which is - as you say - a very good thing.

🍏🙌🥳 Achievement is always a heady feeling especially after all you have been through prior to your restart! You inspire those of us waiting patiently in the wings that there is a way forward! Yeah 👍 xx

There is!!! Time will come! Sending you some patience 💌, as we runners can be a bit impatient with our own bodies, recovery, progress.

But it’s all going forward, maybe with less speed for me, but certainly with more experience, or skill or knowledge.

Yup! Started my rowing 5k plan this morning, and next week I’m in to Stepping Stones. Oh, I do love having a good plan.

I see you also have some great plans for body and mind ahead of you! Fabulous!
