Playing six a side, anopposition player stood on my foot accidentally ,with football boots on it's made a right mess and a lot of bruising. I know it's not broken because I can move my toes and feet nnormally. I wasjustwondering how long the bruising take to go down and am i OK to run still ? My foot is are definitely swelled and my toe is twice the size it should be but I'm walking fine

Oh rubbish! Sorry this has happened Tessie-wishing you a full and fast recovery. It’s not appropriate for any of us to offer medical advice here…your best bet is to seek real life help from a suitable professional.

Why is it when things are looking good something happens 🤔

I know exactly how you feel! For me it was covid. I’m still not fully back on my feet four weeks later. Sending much sympathy your way!

Ouch.... MissUnderstanding has given you the info... wait for that bruising and swelling to go.... and if in real discomfort, go and seek medical advice:)

Thank you, not really any discomfort so hoping the swelling goes down quickly

If in any doubt, wait at least until the swelling has gone down and the bruising has started to fade.

DEFINITELY I'm not a great patient so already want to get out,I know walking and driving is not a problem so far not great wearing steel toe caps for work though, I'm hoping to be OK for parkrun Saturday

Hi quick update I've been to the gym today and done some running rowing cycling and no ill effects, my big toe swelling is not as bad just that I've got more bruising across the front of my other toes

Put some arnica cream on the bruise and it will heal much quicker. I don’t know how it works but it does - every time. Best wishes.
