I wasnβt sure if Iβd be able to do this at all so Iβm pretty pleased to have managed it.
I did a tiny walk for a sip of water at 8k - which I donβt generally like as I really struggle to get going again. But I did on this occasion - phew.
Lovely warm sunny Saturday here in south London and a good start to the bank holiday!

Great job ReyC. Congratulations. I almost always walk to drink otherwise I end up a spluttery mess. But the rule is, the minute the bottle goes away the run starts again - no rules on how long I sip for though π
Good 10k ReyC, particularly given your pre run doubts. I donβt drink on runs of 10k or less, and when I do drink, it isnβt very much! Bad I know, but I hate running with water sloshing around inside me and it interrupts the rhythm. If it is really hot I take sports drinks with me; they seem to be absorbed quickly and at least they taste good!
Hope your muscles are nice and relaxed now and ready for the next challenge π
I donβt usually but I have one of the little soft 250 flasks that I can stuff into my waistband or side pocket easily. I filled it with an energy/rehydration drink as it was hot yesterday and I felt like I may need a boost!
