Out at 7.30am and completed W7R3 today which marks the half way point of my 10k plan. It was a 9k made up of three, 3k blocks of varying pace which made a bit more interesting.
I did the outward 4.5k along the seafront into a very strong headwind and was extremely pleased when I turned for the return but the wind soon dropped so I didn’t get the benefit of the tail wind 🫤. I also think the early work I put in against the wind took more out of me because I found the last 1500m really hard going but … I did it 🥳 This is my longest run for quite some time and on the whole I was really rather pleased with myself 😊
Just had a sneak look at what W8 has in store - first up is a 7k tempo. I’ve got a really challenging week at work ahead so fingers crossed I can get out for that one on Tuesday 🤞
Wishing you all a good week

Sounds like it is going well for you 61Lady ! Running into a headwind is SO tiring - here’s hoping the weather on your next run is a little kinder to you!🙂
Thank you - Just checked out weather for tomorrow and strong winds forecast once more 🫤 Not sure I can do that battle again just yet but don’t want to get behind on plan - guess I just need to toughen up a bit 💪 🤣
