A bit of spontaneity this morning as I wasn’t going to run as I’ve exercised every day this week but I decided that as a storm is coming and I probably wouldn’t get out the rest of the day I would get up and go so I did. It was already raining which was a shame but I but my not so waterproof running jacket on and set off. As I went up the hill I could feel the wind coming over the top of it it was a breeze at that stage but when I rounded the corner I got the full blast. So obviously Ashley had arrived earlier than expected 💨💨💨🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️💧💧💧💧💧but I was already wet so I carried on and did my now usual 20 minute run. Came home and am now snuggled up nice and warm and dry.
hope all those doing big runs get to the end safely and if they’ve been cancelled 😞 I’m so sorry
Take care out there. Happy running 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️

Good 20 minutes run for you Scruff55 this morning before storm Ashley arrives. This morning I WAS going to run the Virtual Great South Run, however, with rain and wind forecast I ran 12K on Saturday afternoon in nice sunny weather.now at nine o'clock on Sunday morning the weather is wet, I hope to go a short walk when the rain goes off and before the wind gets up to gale force.
Good choice of run for you yesterday. Definitely pleased I got out early this morning it’s blowing a gale now and much wetter too. Enjoy your walk later 🚶♂️🚶🚶♂️🚶
Hi again Scruff55, the rain at just after ten o'clock where I live in Central Scotland has not gone off, it varies from light to moderate in heavy ness, the wind isn't too strong, force 4 from the south west, once the rain has gone off the wind is expected to get stronger, that's when I hope to go a very short walk, perhaps no more than 2K in the park near to where I live
PS, just after 11 o'clock the rain went off and the sun came out, fine I thought, I let the cat out and went an almost 3K walk in the same park I run regularly which is part of the course I ran 12K yesterday, the wind still isn't gale force, however, the wind is to get up to gale force later this afternoon.
Thank you! I did it. Hammered down from 4km..,I am beyond wet but I have coffee and I have a medal so all is well with the world!! If it hadn’t been and event I’m sure I’d have gone shorted!
Very well done. I went out this morning too and thankfully ran before the wind really got going. I ran along a river trail and I was in a valley which turned out to be pretty good shelter at that time.
