It’s finally happened! I’ve moved up a level on NRC. It’s taken a bit longer than anticipated with one thing and another but I’m super proud of myself for getting here.
That 1000 km has included some brilliant, memorable, life affirming runs. It’s also had some pretty mundane miles. Today’s run was dull, and definitely a bit lacklustre given the occasion but I don’t care. There’s something to celebrate in getting out for the “just get it done” miles.
I think I might look for some blue trainers to mark this special occasion! Who’d have thought Couch to 5k would take us all so far?
Here’s to the next 1000…

Congrats on your milestone MissUnderstanding 🎯👍🥳. Some serious numbers there. That app is so much fun. I love if not understand all the data 😅 Only Amber myself but am still finding it hard to get my head round the way I've taken to running at all. Does it give us that wee bit more accountability to ourselves? Thanks to all you admins for suggesting it. 💛🧡💙💚💜🖤+what ever colour "Volt" is 😁
Thank you! Volt coloured shoes in a few months/years!!!
Really glad you’re having such a great time running. What data to use and what to just ignore is a work in progress. I think it depends a bit on what your goals are…when you’re trying to build up it’s useful to make sure you’re not going to fast. Sometimes it’s wonderful to just ignore everything and run for the the joy of it. I got a garmin for my birthday and that’s come with all sorts of temptation fall down a numbers rabbit hole! 😂
