On Sunday morning I set off with the idea of attempting to run for 40 minutes. I did a NRC Headspace run, which I confess I thought little of, but then again, I was more interested in its duration than content.

I slightly misjudged where I was, so ended up going a bit over time, and when I looked at my watch and saw how far I'd run (I had no idea!), I decided to push on for a few extra metres.

6.01k - 42 minutes

I had done my usual warm-up exercises and did the full warm down too as I'm paranoid about the muscle injury flaring up again; so much so that I did another set of warm down stretches a few hours later!

Today I feel absolutely fine, if just a tad smug. 😬

Thank you! I can't seem to slow the pace too much, but time I can run for is coming on.

I'm doing more of them now as hamstrings and hip flexors have long been a major issue.

I know that injury paranoia well! You’ve done all the right things and you’re ticking back up sensibly. The nervousness will pass. Great run and enjoy the series of new furthest runs you’re going to have over the coming weeks and months!
