Got up early this morning thinking πŸ€” right I'm gonna get that 5k under 30 minutes this morning so had my bru first did my warm up stretchs for 3 minutes, head phones on downloaded sounds of the 80s from Friday night off radio 2 off I went on my 5 minutes warm up walk, I thought nice and cool morning for a PB, so I picked the pace up after about a mile quite a bit flying past a few female runners on the way, after about 2 and a half miles my legs started to feel heavy cos of the fast pace I was going, last mile i was getting tired now but I kept going, home was in site, down my street to my gate I was knackered πŸ˜ͺ took 5 minutes in my front garden getting my breath back and doing my warm down stretchs, looked at my run status and there it was 29.30 minutes πŸ˜€ yes I had done it, took 1.13 seconds off my PB chuffed as nuts I did it at last 5K under 30 minute πŸ˜€πŸ‘..

Well done!

The two times I went out with the intention of getting a time for 5km I hurt myself. (Ankle first time; knee the second.)

The other times I've beaten my PB have been, "Oh, was that that fast?" incidents when I only noticed I'd done it when I looked at Strava after the run.

I only achieved a sub-hour 10km last month, having logged many 10km or longer runs since February. Best of luck with that.
