Thank you to my lovely daughter for giving me running gear for Christmas. It's so lovely to have this encouragement. I'd been running in layers of cotton as I thought I wouldn't be able to take to modern fabrics. Proved wrong today. Warm and cozy, and not sweaty - who knew πŸ€”......😍

The technical fabrics can be the difference between clammy and comfy. If you like natural fabrics try merino. It doesn't get smelly!

Sterling advice. Just looked up merino wool kit. I know I'm going to need a natural fabric come the Spring/Summer and am always trying to source clothes for any purpose that are kind to the planet. Daughters present is made from recycled materials so βœ…οΈβœ…οΈβœ…οΈ but I think Summer weight "thermoregulating" merino wool sounds nice. Thanks Yesletsgo 😁

There was an interesting Radio 4 programme about sport fabrics/waterproofing etc, Sliced Bread. It's on Sounds. I never used to wear artificial fibres but I'm finding they're so much more comfortable if it's really hot (remember that?)

Thanks Wavy-chick. Something else that this running journey has increased my confidence in - wearing beautiful bright colours that I might not wear any other time πŸ˜€
