We set off on Sunday from Calgary to Fairmont in the Rockies. It’s always spectacular no matter what time of year you go. Photos courtesy of my hubby. We arrived at our comfy chalet with that wonderful feeling of a whole week ahead of us to relax & chill out together.

This morning it was -2 with a windchill of -6 with freezing rain/snow but it was Monday Runday for me. The family set off to get supplies leaving me to do my run around the golf course. I managed an enjoyable 3k up & down the undulating course through the woods crossing over a stream and home again. No encounters with bears and even the birds were well hidden. Sometimes the more difficult the conditions the more satisfying the run especially after a warm shower and a cup of coffee 🤣

The worst is confronting the weather but once you do, there is a perverse feeling of joy at being out there in it, and the only one sometimes! However as you say perfect once you dry and warm again!
