Last post, I'd just done my neverending wiggly route all around the neighbourhood. My next run was the hilly one, which CBDB and MissU persuaded me to try. And it was kind of fun, as you said it would be! I didn't have to run very long or very far, but running up a 5% hill was challenging! (I did the maths thanks to google maps and google earth, but have no idea how 5% compares in the wider world.)

Later that day we'd planned a little excursion. We biked to the station and got the train to a town with a lovely riverside boardwalk. Turns out, they'd extended it - we knew they'd been planning to, but weren't sure how much they'd finished. So we set off walking... and walking, and walking. I felt a bit like I was back on the wiggly route, not knowing when it would end! At some point we stopped, looked at the wooden walkway stretching off into the distance, and made the sensible decision to turn around. But it was too late to escape rubbery legs. My bike managed to get me home, but it was two weeks before I was putting on the running shoes again! Happily, I can report that yesterday's run was shortish and uneventful. I'm back in the saddle!

Sensible to not try and find the end of the boardwalk. Run sounds great,
