Hello bridge to somewhere

Hi! I just finished C25k 3 weeks ago and I’m really not at all sure if I should be on a bridge to anywhere! However, I’ve surprised myself so far, so who knows…? I am now running 3 times a week, 5 km in about 35 mins. Not “enjoying” it yet exactly but I am super pleased to discover it’s possible. I think I’d like to go a bit faster, I’d like to go a bit further, I’d like to run up hills…so this seems like the right place to be. 👋🙂🏃‍♀️

It sure is!! Welcome aboard 😀 seems like you've a super platform to build on and your consistency will really help you in terms of speed and distance too. Now is absolutely the time to mix up runs to keep things interesting.

One suggestion: try running deliberately slower for some of your sessions. The same duration but for a shorter distance. (This is easier with out-and-back courses than circular routes.)

Ideally you should finish the run thinking that you could have kept running all day.

I think I will be here more too - though I do enjoy the cheering on aspect of the base C25K platform. But there's great ideas everywhere here!

lol i am also on a "bridge to somewhere" at the moment, I graduated C25K on 31st March, i started mixing up the duration of the runs and now work on distance instead of time, I had got up to running 5 KM, i started doing hill runs which helped massively with improving my pace on the flat, but then the hot weather arrived and now I have only been doing 2.5 km to 4 KM runs with walking breaks as the humidity is too much for me, but at least i am keeping my runs "maintained" until the cooler autumn months come then i can get back to working on hill runs to improve pace and increasing distance on the Sunday Long Run day.
