I'm trying to do the 5K plus podcasts, there are three: Stepping Stones, Speed and Stamina. The Stamina one is an absolute nightmare and I can't complete it for the life of me!
I'm doing this in conjunction with the Bridge to 10K podcasts, which I find easier because I can control the speed.
Does anyone else find these 5K plus podcasts even more difficult or is it just me?

I absolutely hated them. Not for me at all! Some people love them but they’re quite marmite.
Which Bridge to 10k podcasts are you using? I’d just go with what suits you. The best programme is one that’s right for your level of running which you can also enjoy doing!
I liked the 5k+ podcasts, as I love running to a beat. But the beats were too fast for me when first I did them.
I revisit them once every 7-8 months or so now, and it’s gratifying how much easier it is to keep to the beat every time I run them.
They do get me to accelerate my leg turn over faster than I’m used to, but I find that this is a good thing, as I seldom take the opportunity to focus on leg turnover.
Hi Wannaberoadrunner , I loathed Stepping Stones, the only C25K+ podcast I tried, to the extent that I stopped it after about a minute and deleted it and the other two. I don't cope well with certain types of sounds and that podcast was literally intolerable for me.
The C25K+ podcasts are by no means obligatory. If they work for you, great, but if not, scrap them. Personally audio-coached runs aren't my thing. I got to 10K by using the Magic Plan on this forum.
Incidentally, am I right in thinking you hadn't run for 5-6 months until around a month ago? Maybe you're just trying to do too much, too soon, and that's why you're finding it hard? Nothing wrong with building back gradually, even if you have to start off by doing less than you were before.
