I've been lying here in the holiday apartmemt with sleep evading me for a few hours now. A cockerel or two have been crowing for about an hour now and at the stroke of 5.30am the call to prayer joined in from the local mosque so I'm unlikely to return to dream world. The photos show the main shopping street in this small town of Turunç. In the middle of Sunday night workmen turned up completely unannounced and ripped the whole street up ready for resurfacing. You can only move from shop to shop by walking on it, there's no pavement left. Torrential rain two nights ago compounded the problem.
I did manage a 20min run yesterday, the warm up walk took care of the hill to the flatter area. Obviously I dressed only in shorts and T-shirt, well I'm on holiday aren't I. The wind the night before had been very strong and it spent hours playing chess with the balcony furniture. As I listened to it I thought my run will have to take place on the treadmill instead but when I got up I couldn't hear the gusting and blowing of the mid night wind so decided on road running. That was my mistake just because I couldn't hear it didn't mean it wasn't there π
However even though I felt cold the 5min warm up obviously worked on the right muscles. I settled for 20mins as it was still very windy ππ€ΈββοΈπ€ΈββοΈπ€ΈββοΈπ
