I forgot how much I love winter! crisp air less sweat and people jealous of how little clothing you need to put on. As long as its dry I'm happy. happy running my friends. Yes - this is North London!
Cold weather - perfect running weather - Bridge to 10K
Cold weather - perfect running weather
Good photo and nice run for you today Endfieldrunner, well done, it's really good to run in the cold as long as its not too icy or dangerous, I also had a run today (5K) in a temperature of - 2C and didn't feel too cold.
That’s a lovely photo! You see a path like that and instantly want to follow it 🏃♀️🙂
I love running the seasons 😍 I ran the trail and a bit of road yesterday. It was dry 🤗. Nearly 4 degrees I turned around and suddenly felt much colder so had to put my jacket back on I was really chilled by the time got home I had a merino base layer on with a technical tee over it It pays to layer up 😀
Walking the borrowed dog today and it’s slippery underfoot. Oooer 🥶
Yes be careful in the slippery stuff! Our recent return to warmer weather means I get out more but the mud on trails can still be dangerous! Take care all!
Great photo, and yes, too many layers!!!! But I needed ice skates until mid afternoon, no morning runs for me over the next few days unless anyone can recommend a trainer for icy (black) surfaces? London micro-climate?😁😉
perhaps you need a pair of cross country spikes? Might give you the grip you need. I don’t have experience with those but other than a pair of ice skates that’s the best suggestion I can come up with !
Hi Enfieldtownrunner, safety came before budget! So a new pair of trail runners purchased which worked well on the icy road too! New to running and have been slowly getting to the point I like it enough and want to get out so time to invest in some gear. Still on a budget mind you!! Some leggings too! Is there no end!😁
I love running in the cold too, especially if there is some winter sunshine ☀️. I’m leaving it until it gets up to 0 today though before I go out 😂
it is my favourite season as well. For the same reasons.
Where is that? I'm in north London too and have route fatigue, so am looking for new ones!
