Returning to running

Hi everyone, some of you may remember I suffered an injury doing the virtual London Marathon in October and I was on crutches for six weeks😖 and had some physio appointments to help my recovery.

I came off crutches on Sunday 13 November and gradually built up my walks and completed Parkrun on Saturday.👍

I’ve just come back from the physio and he’s pleased with my progress. He’s given me the OK to get a gait analysis (booked for next Wednesday) then to start some power walking and light running.🏃‍♂️

I’m feeling optimistic now and the hard work on the physio exercises has paid off. 🤞

Well done David; really well deserved improvement. On the last laps now; no time for heroics of course, just steady as she goes and you will be clocking up PB’s ……in due course .👍

My sort of physio; positive and, to date, always 100% right in my case.

Beachcomber66 and in my case, so far at least. I have no reason to think he won’t be right this time either!

It feels as though time passes very slowly when you're not able to run David - great that at last that's coming to an end!
