8k in the bag this morning - I’m that chuffed 🥳

Garmin recorded it as my longest run + fastest 5k 😀. Juju’s plan is definitely weaving it’s magic for me.

I never usually take much notice of Garmin recommended recovery time but it felt like I was running through treacle for the last 1.5k. I can’t seem to get an even pace and set off like a gazelle every time 🙄 hence fastest 5k I guess.

I will take heed of Mr Garmin on this occasion … he says 4 days to recover which is perfect - I’ve got a really busy few days ahead and couldn’t see how I would get out before Monday anyway !

BTW - only tea this morning on my return - no toast in sight 🤨 Hints I made didn’t work so next time I will get the plate, knife and toaster out before I go 🤭

Whatever run you do next, I hope it’s a good one 🏃‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

congratulations on your 8k, after that you deserve a few days off. I love 7 and 8k runs .

Mr Garmin tells me lots of things that I ignore, but mine doesn't give me recovery time.

Maybe I need to upgrade from my Fitbit, I absolutely love the idea of being told to take rest days!

I also did the magic plan and really enjoyed it. Great that it’s working the magic on you too!

Congratulations on completing that 8K run 61Lady, I hope you enjoyed also your 5K split PB, 8K is one of my favourite distances as I usually take around a hour, sometimes more, sometimes less to complete it, I have ran 4/8K runs over the last 4 weeks, for you 4 days is perfect to recover as Mr Garmin told you, well done

Thank you AlMoor - I was surprised with 5k time although it makes sense now as I was ultra 🐌 over last 1500m 🤣

Having time for 8k on a regular basis might be an issue but I did enjoy it in a weird sort of way and I’d like to think I could do it once a month
