I ran my first 10k yesterday at the Great Birmingham Run . It was a fantastic event where the route took us around the city centre , Calthorpe Park and Edgbaston cricket ground .
As it was my first 10k and first organised event I decided to ask friends and family to support a local charity, the result being that we raised £534 for Birmingham Childrens Hospital.
A brilliant day .
