I’ve volunteered for this week’s event so I thought I’d post on here to see if anyone else is likely to be around.

Photo unashamedly nicked from the ParkRun web page.

I’m volunteering this weekend too SM, as well as my daughter! We’re marshalling. 😄 See you there!

Good luck to you SkiMonday on volunteering this Saturday at Eastville Parkrun, I assume that photograph is Eastville Parkrun.

Thanks Al

I don't know Eastville very well but the photo looks like it could well be from there and I took it from the Eastville ParkRun page.

We can probably get a more definitive answer from cheekychipmunks

It is AlMorr . It’s the pretty lake we run round on the A course. The dreaded B course leaves it out and we have to do three nasty laps, each with a long hill. The lake portion is flat and gives us a reprieve!

It's a few miles North of Bristol city centre, near the end of the M32.

Actually, right on junction 2 of the M32.

Eastville is on my to do list but I can't make this week Normally I only manage 1 park run a month due to commitments on Saturdays.

Also I tend to do my long runs on Sunday's so makes park runs difficult to plan.

I did look to see how far it would be to run there and back, including the parkrun would be 17.2k. A bit to far for me and the moment.

Know what you mean about ParkRun being difficult to plan; most of the time it doesn’t fit in with my training schedule. One reason why I volunteer more often than running!

I have run to Eastville and back from home before now but it’s further than I want to be running at the moment. Besides, it’s a bit of a pain carrying a rucksack with extra layers so that I don’t freeze whilst standing around.

I might have a go at running there and back plus running the ParkRun in the summer when I have some down time.

Hope you all had a good Parkrun, either volunteering or running.

Glorious sunny morning.
