Bump on the road

My Mojo was back. I had stepped up my running and was back enjoying it again. I did a 7K run yesterday with my Sister and after dinner I was wiped out. After an early night I woke this morning, my T-Shirt was damp and I had a very mild head cold. So just in case I did an antigen test before going to work. It was positive, so I have Covid-19. After escaping it for 2 years it has finally hit me. Thankfully it is a very mild dose, I have a very mild headache, sniffles and a tiny cough. A few days of rest and hopefully I’ll be out pounding the pavement again soon.

Well phooey, damienair - that’s really bad luck and it seems to be happening such a lot at the moment! I really hope you feel better again soon!

Thank you. I have a very light almost non existent dose of it, other than being tired with a light headache. I have had worse head colds.

Sorry to hear this Damienair. Take care and I hope the family stay negative. It seems to be hanging around for 10 days before a negative test.

Thanks Dexy, I'm fine, I have almost non existant symptoms. Hopefully I'll be able to run again next week.

I hardly know anybody who hasn’t had it in the last 3 months, but generally no worse than a sniffle. It does get very boring sitting around at home though, so hope you’ve got plenty to keep you occupied! Take it steady when you get out again and hope you’re negative again soon xx

I’m working from home so keeping busy. My symptoms are very mild.

Rotten luck-there’s so much about at the moment. My main symptom was just tiredness this time. Go slow when you’re back out again.

Thanks, yes I get tired after 8pm and I’m in bed by 10. Thankfully symptoms are very light.

Cheers mate. I’m ok with it, just a cough and a sniffle. I’m working from home. I’ve had worse head colds.

Hi Damien, sorry ro hear you're poorly, but with numbers rising rapidly we are all at risk, so bad luck. I'm sure your fitness and normal good health will help you shake it off soon.Best wishes ☺️

Thank you. So far it is just a slight sniffle and cough. I feel good.

Get well soon damienair 👍🏻Hope the rest of the family stay well. I stayed locked inside with hubby and our five boys without testing positive. I’m sure I had it though.

damienair profile image

I’m just working from home, and I’m not too bad with it. I get tired in the evenings but other than a cough and a sniffle I’m OK. Everyone else here so far is negative and we are all vaccinated.

That’s good to hear. Take it easy. My husband worked through it but was lacking energy for awhile.

Sandie1961 profile image

That seems quite common. I just had a couple of days of sniffles, but energy and stamina took a couple of weeks to return properly!

Take it easy!

I'm still waiting for my PCR test result. Merely feeling a little grotty, with a scratchy throat. But that could be an unrelated sinus infection the like of which I'm prone to.

damienairAdministrator in reply to nowster

Hopefully you will get a negative test result. I'm OK so far. I have very mild symptoms.

Mine was negative (and took ages). Herself's was positive (and came early this morning).

On that basis I had a walk this evening, keeping well out of the way of other folks.

So how are you feeling now Damienair?

damienair profile image
damienairAdministrator in reply to Katnap

I'm thankfully OK, I have a very mild cough and a very slight background headache. I get tired in the evening but that is all. I have had worse head colds. I'm just working from home and resting. If I had not done a test I wouldn't think I had it.
