Recovery run ☀️

I decided to take a leaf out of Beatlesforever ’s book and call my runs ‘recovery’ runs for a while!

Last time I ran, I made a rookie mistake in setting off far too quickly. This morning, following earlier advice from GTFC , I did my warm up walk, then started my watch for the run and walked a little faster for a minute or so, gradually breaking into a slow jog. This worked a treat and I was then able to control the rest of the run.

I found my ‘happy place’ this morning! Enjoying being out running in the sunshine and singing along to my playlist. I didn’t care a bit about my pace - I was comfortable. Comfortable enough to speed up for the last kilometre just because I could and I felt like it! 😊

Now home and drinking coffee from my new machine, housewarming gift from my brother 😊☕️.

Just loved this run! 🥰

Thanks, Ian. Such gorgeous weather to run in. I was running slowly so didn’t get too hot! 😊
