Feeling frustrated that I’ve now tested positive for Covid, having avoided it for so long! Grateful to have mild symptoms. Waiting for isolation to be over so I can go and run! 🏃♀️

Frustrated!
Oh, Pinkpig20 that is bad luck. I've managed to avoid it until this week. My partner tested positive on Tuesday and he's been fairly ill, sleeping pretty constantly for a couple of days. I'm staying home as a precaution (usually I work in a shop and many of my customers are worried/vulnerable), there's no reasonable way we can isolate from each other in our small house. So unless I have extraordinary immunity, it's just a matter of time. I've just made my way back up to 7k following an injury so I'm quite disappointed at the situation. Also really annoyed with his boss for refusing to take any precautions. He's a control freak and makes everyone sit in the same small office, so he can see them all 😤
I've tested negative every morning so far, so I'm toying with the idea of taking a short run somewhere desolate later today, while I still can.
I hope you can get back out soon x
Oh no! Sending you get well wishes! ❤️💛🧡💚
We just put that behind us, but it caught the whole family. We did look into each member isolating, which was easy with our teenager who preferred spending time in his room but isolating hubby from myself was more difficult and we in the end gave up with that.
It’s hard isn’t it.
Yes, I feel like- do I really want a week of poor sleep on the sofa and my partner being miserably confined to the bedroom? Really, I'm going to be exposed anyway so might as well prepare with good quality rest.
I've heard a few people saying that their teenagers isolating made no difference to their living arrangements.
We've managed to avoid it so far but there's so much of it around, I'm sure we will succumb sooner or later... Take care 🤗
Oh my! Poor you!
We've managed to avoid it so far. It's pretty inevitable that most of us will get it at some point. Hopefully the vaccines/boosters will mean we only get the mildest of symptoms.
Rotten luck! I got it halfway through c25k and it wasn’t nice but it wasn’t awful. I was tired a lot.
Take it slowly when you can start again. Hoping it’s a speedy recovery for you.
I got it this week after my daughter and husband got it. Symptoms were aches and tiredness but i’m on day 7 now and feeling fine but still positive. All I’ve managed so far is two short walks near my home when there is no-one else around. I’ve read up about returning to running and have my expectations set low for a couple of weeks, i think once my walking returns to its normal fast pace I’ll try a10 min run and build up from there as i’m able. It’s probably better to just not avoid it at this stage as long as you’re vaccinated…. Hopefully you’ll only get mild symptoms for a few days 👍🏻
I’m hoping I test negative on Sunday so I can go back to work on Monday, but many people seem to still test positive after day 5! I’m hoping to go out after day 5 where there are few people.
How you continue to feel well. 😀
Ah bad luck. Hope you test negative on Sunday. We have somehow managed to escape it so far despite being very close contacts and kids in school being very close contacts. Best of luck for Sunday.
