The sun is out for my walks today, the wild primroses are in bloom on the grassy banks and the views are stunning from my favourite viewpoint. As I sat on the bench on the hill this morning, the troubles of the world seemed a million miles away, for just a short while. The runners I meet don't trigger that feeling of impatience with my injury, as has happened on previous walks.
Later on, I doubled up on a couple of Adriene's yoga sessions with the sun pouring through the windows and onto my yoga mat, the patio doors are open and Isla is enjoying her post run snooze stretched out on the patio in the sun. Perfect.
As I eat lunch, I read the forum and I feel inspired by my fellow VRBs, encouraged by their recent mindful posts.
For some reason I am not feeling quite as impatient with the Injury Couch today....
A lovely place to walk and rest, then yoga at home, you will get yourself out running when you are healed and remember these days of peace and acceptance
What a beautiful post, thank you! Just reading it has brought such a feeling of peace and stillness, I'm feeling quite like Isla chilling after her morning walk 🥰
Another lovely post D-d; it must be frustrating for you on the IC but it sounds as though you’re making good use of the time you’re there! Beautiful pictures as well - knowing that Spring is springing makes such a difference doesn’t it!
What an idyllic view and beautiful weather. The walking combined with yoga will help you maintain your fitness and be ready to resume your running when the time is right.
Those are smashing pictures Hidden , the weather is back on our side! That’s nice to hear you’re feeling more at peace with the IC, and well done on the yoga. 😊
