Wk7 R2 in search of my mojo

Back out this morning with Nike ‘not motivated to run with headspace’ Also listened to a Run Pod podcast last night in an attempt to search for my mojo which appears to have escaped me over the last few days... As it’s my day off today I could run a little later to avoid the groups of ‘heads down reading phones’ school kids. Also nice to run in the daylight and be able to appreciate the autumn colours... & of course be aware of the trip hazards the dark mornings bring. Happy running everyone and once again thank you for being such a supportive group xx

Running a bit later in the day during the winter months I'm finding really enjoyable as you say with all the colours to enjoy.Sounds like you had a good one today 👍

Week 7 run 2 on the time plan is 30 minutes I believe .How did it go ?

I like the NRC headspace runs with Andy P 😁👍

Enjoyed this morning and 30 minutes is a very comfortable time but I seem to have to massive mental block for anything over this time and the self doubts take hold... sure I will get there and reading others’ posts thing think the gremlins and negative thoughts are quite common just need to figure out a way of overcoming them. Xx

The pesky gremlins. Yes, we all have those but if you are out, you can defeat them.

Pace really is key for your doubts I think. If you stay at the same pace and try and run for longer you just burn yourself out.

When you go slower, you can run for longer .... enjoy it more ..... and beat those gremlins whilst also building up your stamina and aerobic fitness. Win win.

Thank you. This is helpful advice. I mean I am not the quickest anyway but will try to slow right down to beat away the gremlins. X
