About to start my working day with running gear underneath my professional blazer, hiding the leggings and running top beneath! The rest of the gear just waiting beside me, off camera, ready for the only one-hour opportunity mid-morning in a day full of work, deadlines and meetings.
That’s also what running is about! Your everyday reality starts warping around running! 😁
Inspired by the instances reported by nowster of going to meetings after and before runs, and how to hide your running wear from view!
Keep on keeping on, everyone!
Edit after the run:
… and sunny a run it was! Worth the bird bath, new hairstyle and warping around my workday.
Ran an audio-guided run from Runkeeper, but as much as I love Runkeeper and it’s voices, they really do not know how to provide a great audio run! The “Mindshift Run” was boring, the audio was at the wrong volume compared to my music, and it didn’t lower it’s volume as the voices or NRC does! By the time they were talking about the ‘mindful full cup’ a quarter in, my cup was overfilled, and I switched to Spotify music only, giving me a beautiful bouncy run without even talking about mindfulness!
And by the time I got to the point in the pic, I needed to head back as this was a short run! But doesn’t that sunny dappled stretch just tempt you to run on!
I resisted and looped back utterly refreshed and happy!

Well done CBDB I'm glad I'm not the only one! I've got all my gear for running club this evening laid out on the bed behind me - out of sight for any virtual meetings or video calls I have during the working day.😀
Love it! I'm sat here with running gear on, and a smart top for a couple of virtual meeting I have to do before my lunch time run. Will then slick the hair back and carry on, someone even complemented me on my new hair style last week (slicked back with sweat)- couldn't do that before home working!
🤭😂… yeah, I’d want to see the look on your learners’ eyes! 😁
Ah, can't do that unfortunately. Have to work 4 days out of 5 in the office and the 5th day is at home. But we have to be available the whole time, so can't pop out for a run somewhere in between. And my 30 minutes lunch break is too short to do any running (including warming up and cooling down and washing my hair) then.
Giggle! I'm hoping to go out for a run in about half an hour (lunchtime). As the majority of the team I'm working with is in the US, and they're still on daylight savings time until the coming weekend, all meetings this week are an hour earlier.
Yeah, the good thing that I have that flexibility on some days, bad thing is that it means i often have to work long hours. But I’m not complaining! 😃👍🏽🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️Especially with sunny days like today! 🌞 🍂
😊😉 Your post reminded me of a fun article I read a while ago about how to squeeze a run into lunchtime, using office stairwell as a post-run stretch machine and the fine art of the ‘birdbath’! Warp away, CBDB !!

Short exploration why the Runkeeper audio-run doesn’t work for me and the differences between Runkeeper, Strava and Nike Running Club NRC is here whrr we n I posted about my next run after this one: healthunlocked.com/bridgeto....
