Whats happened to me?

This weekend my wife and I had a wonderful trip to London to see a play, 22:22 was very enjoyable. We stayed in a lovely hotel, very central just across the road from the theatre.

If this was a few years ago, we would have popped out to a bar till gone 3ish, stumbling back to the hotel after sampling a fair few cocktails. Upon waking this morning I would have reached for ibuprofen and a lot of water.

Instead, in this alternate reality I find myself. We were back in the hotel by 11 and asleep soon after, I woke at 7am and popped on my running gear and ran through the empty morning streets, pass Big Ben, along the river to Tate Modern and back to Trafalgar Square.

It was most enjoyable. I really enjoyed it 😀

That sounds brilliant! I used to travel a lot before I started running. Now I run but don’t travel much anymore! 🙁 Still hoping though to get my tourist runs off the ground in the next few years; your trip and run just sounds brill!

Nice run for you through the streets of London in the early morning, glad that you enjoyed the play 22.22, perhaps you will be able to run a 5k in that time.
