I prefer (Not) parkrun

I've only done 1 real park run before in 2018 and decided it wasn't for me. But love the idea that people still have the opportunity to do a park run on their own, but join in the chat with others comparing times, the weather and runs. A lot of people (like myself) just don't have the confidence to run with others. Perhaps that will change, perhaps not. After 6 months of not running I completed my couch to 5k again 3 weeks ago. Today doing my (not) park run I took 4 mins off my prevoius 5km pb. A superb start to my weekend, and a boost to my mental health 👌. Keep on running 🏃‍♀️

Congratulations on completing C25K for the second time, as far as (not ) parkrun, that's OK to continue with them.I have been called "King of (not) parkruns" this week on Wednesday I ran my 67th (not) parkrun, there have only been 67 (not) parkruns, that is despite me now running on a Saturday morning 6 official Parkruns since they returned after that 17 months break because of Covid 19, sometimes I just run 5K on a Wednesday, on other longer runs such as a 10K or 10 miles run, I use my 5K split time for (not) parkrun, so by all means run (not) parkrun at your leisure.

Thank you 😊. And who knows? This time next year, I might just love Park runs. My next challenge is to run for 60 mins.

Well done on your (Not) parkrun 😁👍I have not yet done a real parkrun !

I prefer to run earlier when it's cooler and also have a route that I don't need to drive to !

The main thing is enjoy your runs 😁👍

Well done on your not park run! I’ve never done one, I prefer to do a longer run on my own at the weekend without the time constraints of work. But never say never, I guess! I won’t know until I try 😊. 4 mins off your previous 5k Pb is pretty amazing 🤩.

The weekend is a great time to do a longer run! I might start doing shorter ones during the week and a longer one at weekends too!

There is also the fact that not everyone lives close to a Park run.

Well done on your Not parkrun adventures👍🏻

Remember there are parkrun freedom runs as well that entail running your local parkrun event anytime other than 9am Saturday (9:30am Northern Ireland, Scotland))

It’s great fun and you can upload your personal times to your parkrun profile 👍🏻

Very well done on your return and completing the C25K plan again. Well done too on your (not)parkrun time. Every Saturday morning I put up a post called How did your parkrun or (not)parkrun go? People who have either ran at a parkrun or ran their own (not)parkrun reply and we all join in and let each other know how we got on. Please feel free to join in with us next weekend and let us know how your (not)parkrun goes.
