So shall I run tomorrow or not?

On the plus side, I would really like to.

On the minus side, I ran yesterday morning (nrc one hard, one easy which was great). I then set off in the campervan so I could go to the Southampton Boat Show today. Spent all day walking (nearly 15000 steps) or driving, about 5-6 hours behind the wheel. By the time I got home I was too tired to do my physio and I realised I was quite dehydrated so have drunk plenty of water this evening.

So I’m trying to balance whether a decent 4-5km run would clear my cobwebs tomorrow or if it’d be more prudent to rest, do the physio, drink lots of water and do the run on Thursday. I’ve got a slight ache in my ankle, not the ligament that got injured though the same foot. The pedals on the campervan are quite heavy so that might be the reason.

Maybe I’d better sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning.

My suggestion is no. Take a rest day.

Driving can be hard on injured ankles.

Thanks, driving is probably the wrong sort of workout 😁

I would say no, take a rest day and run on Thursday. Your body will thank you for it. If I would have done what you did, I know a run today (Wednesday) would not be pleasant.

Good morning, how do you feel? What’s it to be? A run or walk - whichever keep moving after that long drive. Happy running 🤗

Good morning Grannyhugs! No run for me today. This'll give me something to look forward to tomorrow 😁

Take a rest day would be what I’d do, but only you know what it feels like. Whatever you do enjoy your day

You're unanimous, so rest day it is. The ankle is definitely achy, but nothing a paracetamol won't fix I hope. My previous injury happened because I ignored a niggle so I'm not going to make that mistake twice. Thanks for the advice 👍😁
