I haven't been posting after every run lately, but this one deserves a special mention. Fingers crossed we broke the world record - I had to try several times to submit my evidence which suggests lots of peeps are trying to do the same thing.
Anyway, I've been struggling to get back into a proper routine after events of the previous few months. Recently I've been doing shorter runs, as they're easier to fit in, and experimenting with Jeffing (planned run:walk:run intervals for the uninitiated). It's been fun and exciting to try something different.
Todays run was a circuit of the woods - basically an extended version of my C25K graduation route. I Jeffed it 45 second running, 30 seconds walking, repeat 30 times with a bit of extra running tagged on to the end to reach the 5k for the World Record attempt.
I enjoyed the run, but struggled a bit to keep the legs turning over at the end. Not a PB by any measure, but only the second time I have managed a sub-40 minute 5k (according to Strava - I'll take that thank you!) off-road. Overall I'm happy with that.
Happy Saturday evening everyone! Enjoy the rest of your weekend π
