Went to the physio this morning. Usually any medical appointment involves being told to lose weight, take more exercise and eat less. Instead, I get told to buy new trainers every three months and start running. Woo hoo! Doesn't get much better than this (though I think if I hadn't told him that this was the best appointment ever he may have suggested I lose a bit of weight, instead he said I should strengthen my muscles, works for me )
Best medical appointment ever!: Went to the... - Bridge to 10K
Best medical appointment ever!
A dream appointment! And of course youโve got to follow such professional adviceโฆ. to the letter ๐
Iโve had two of those NHS Well Man appointments before - are they ongoing, I wonder? Every two or three years, maybe. The last one took place before I did C25k - I canโt wait to tell โem! ๐
Iโm here waiting for Amazon to drop off a set of those โresistance bandsโ. Itโs shocking how much muscle declines in older age. My legs are looking better through running but my top half looks like I got it from a different catalogue of styles, like legs by Georgio Armani, top by TK Maxx. I hope thereโs a set of instructions.
Congratulations - that is excellent news. Really pleased for you! ๐โโ๏ธ
Now that's an appointment worth keeping! ๐๐ป๐
Love a good physio and lovely he made you feel good!!
Brilliant, if expensive, advice. Now if the health service were to prescribe trainers that may save the, a fortune on medication ๐ค. Happy running ๐ค
I reckon that as it was an NHS physio appointment so I didn't have to pay I can mentally knock forty quid off the cost of the trainers! Gait analysis tomorrow, I'm sure I'll post a pic of my new shoes on here as is traditional
Do you get them on prescription!
Every three months! Blimey.
Hooray - a free ticket to buy new running trainers on medical advice - perfect! ๐
