I’ve been feeling a bit better lately and wondering if it was time I got back to some sort of normality, I’ve snuggled on the sofa reading and eating for weeks first an MRI then a biopsy…. neither were very nice. Appointment on Thursday for results and treatment plan.
So, this morning decided we need to get out, walk, run, whatever, Jo hasn’t been running much either so joined us, we mostly walked but ran some of 8k along the river. What a difference a few weeks make, primroses, cowslips, a weak sun ☀️ and warm weather.
We talked, planned, worried about the appointment and generally had a good time, just happy that this distance is ok
Got home, made scrambled eggs on toast, sat down to eat and the hospital rang… they gave my results!!! I don’t have cancer 😀😀😀😀😀
Treatment plan on Thursday…
Thank you everyone who read my posts

That must be the best news ever for you, that is wonderful that you don't have cancer, that was a nice walk you had but still a bit worrying for you before you knew the result, the next walk/run will be even better.
Oh goodness. That is fabulous news! How worrying this period must have been. You deserve health and happiness! Big smile and hug. Best news I've heard all day.
I am so delighted for you and just it's great that you don't have to wait until the 31st. So nice to get some good news for a change. I'm sure your treatment will be a run in the park (see what I did there?😉) compared to what it could have been. Now you can focus on your treatment and getting better! Go Sola!!
Whoop whoop! I was glad you managed to get out and enjoy a lovely walk/run in the spring sunshine. And then I got to your last few lines! I’m so pleased to hear your news Sola, what a relief for you!
Yabbadabbadoo SueAppleRun , I'm absolutely delighted to read that you don't have cancer. Wishing you all the best for your treatment, and happy, happy running!
Such amazing relief for you both. Can only imagine the reprieve feeling after weeks of anxiety... All your runs ( for awhile!) will be that much sweeter.😞😁🙏🌟😌
Oh Sola, I am so pleased for you, what wonderful news. Let’s hope the health plan will prove to be the answer . The enforced rest you’ve had will have done you some good too with your busy job.
How great that you have had a little bit of a run too. Go girl.
I had been feeling a bit better the last couple of days and decided being lazy and poorly was becoming too much of a habit so made sure we got out today and it was lovely, being able to run is so important even if most of it’s walking it’s a beginning after the break
Life has been sooooo busy lately that I haven’t been able to write much on here but I had to reply to this post! Such great news 🙌 🙌! Hope your treatment goes well. And yes, Spring is such a great time to run 😊
Marvellous news! That lovely recovery run must have been all the sweeter for receiving that news and the sense of relief for you enormous. So very pleased for you; thank you for sharing such good news.
What brilliant news - don't often post, though I always read and enjoy the forum, especially your posts. Felt myself welling up when I read yours just now. Here's hoping the treatment plan includes a few gentle jogs!
Now that IS good news! I was not aware that was what hung above your head, must have been a terrible time. Luckily you got a very good negative result. Things can only go better now, eh?
Thank you sola. 😊 I’m gearing up for my first masters individual race event on Saturday so the training has been quite intense. 😥 🥵 I am so glad to hear that you are well and getting to properly enjoy life and the outdoors again. Enjoy your walks and build up your strength slowly. 👍
I have been reading your posts for a while because I find them so enjoyable and inspiring. This is the first time I have posted a comment but how could I not? Fabulous fabulous news!
