Any recommendations for a sweatband please?

I thought it would be good to keep the sweat from dripping into my eyes.

I thought this one looked OK -

amazon.co.uk/French-Fitness...

Although ... I recently acquired some AfterShokz Aeropex bone conduction headphones, so supplemental question - has anyone tried running with a headband AND bone conduction headphones?

Sorry, can’t advise on either of those, FB.

I started wearing a baseball cap - cheap one from Mountain Warehouse - as protection from the Summer sun on longer runs.

Then I started wearing it if it looked like rain; then it kind of became my lucky running hat…I put it on after my shoes as a matter of course.

My wife asked me the other day, why aren’t I troubled by sweat in my eyes (as she was)? It was an especially hot morning and we were running together. I don’t know, I said, I guess it’s the cap!

It’s looking a bit end of season now; I must get a replacement.

I love it! 👍Unfortunately I'm like 3 stone overweight so I don't need the sun to make me sweat. 😢😂

The same. I got a "rain cap" from Decathlon.

decathlon.co.uk/p/running-r... (currently out of stock)

It's actually worked more to divert the sweat from my bonce than protect me from sun or rain.

After a run it's usually soaked, so I put it in a mesh bag in the washing machine with the rest of my kit. The bag is to protect the other stuff in the wash from the aggressive Velcro on the strap.

Good tip. I’ll bung mine in the wash next (though it only cost me a tenner last Summer).

I don’t wear a sweat band but I do wrap a buff around my wrist, and use it to mop my face during a run. Perfect. I didn’t think I sweated until I started running!

Thanks Dexy5 - that's an idea I hadn't thought of! 🙏

I've recently, er, borrowed an old visor of my son's, he used to wear for rowing. It keeps rain off my glasses and acts as a sweatband too. It's by crew room.If he wants it back, I'll have to buy one! 😨

Hi, I run with Aftershok, a headband (or cap in hot sunshine) AND glasses. It is entirely possible :) The headband I use is amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07... and the pack includes three in different colours. The one you're suggesting looks a bit more manly and substantial.

My hair is very smooth and flat and my headband has occasionally fallen off but I think if you had curly hair the fit may be better.

When I get ready to run I put the headband round my neck (the glasses don't come off unless I'm asleep or in the shower lol) then place the Aftershokz in position and use the headband to hold them in place. It's all a bit awkward with the specs as well but if I took those off I wouldn't be able to see the Garmin which would be terrible.

Wearing glasses, Aftershokz and a cap is even more fiddly but I have a special sailing cap with a clip on it (similar to this musto.com/en_GB/essential-f.... Even if it does fall off you won't lose it so highly recommended if you run somewhere windy.

Thank you for that info - very comprehensive and useful. 👍 I was afraid the AfterShokz and headband would get in the way of each other - so good to know it works for you - and with glasses too as I usually wear sunglasses on sunny days. 😎

I often see people running in caps - the backward baseball cap seems to be a favourite with some younger runners I've seen. I've not tried it because I think I would get VERY hot, but I should give it a try. Cold doesn't usually bother me - but I don't get on with heat!

I like your username - reminds me of western movies and native Indian names. I should have chosen something like that. I think there was a suggestion to think of your favourite colour, and mine is the green I associate with a classic 1950s sci fi movie!

Ooh they look nice, and a great selection, and nice price if I buy a couple or so. 😀Thanks - and good to know they're fine with aeropex. 👍

The extra stretchy ones are really good. The half size ones are good for the summer. I wear the winter ones out walking instead of a scarf. 👍
