I read that we should be undertaking a Lateral Flow Test before attending. I’m not sure if we should be bringing proof of negative result with us, if that exists.

Can anyone clarify as I’ve not taken the test before.

You don't need to provide your parkrun with proof of a negative lateral flow test, they are just asking us to perform the tests to check for ourselves.

For your info, when you do a lateral flow test you input your result and your mobile phone number to the government website gov.uk/report-covid19-result You will then receive a text message which you can use as proof of your test result where necessary.

Tests are easy to get hold of, you then enter results and get email. I’ve been testing twice weekly for a few weeks as levels ridiculously high in our area

I’ve ordered a set online. My granddaughters would laugh at me as they’ve been doing them for ages.

All our local pharmacies stock them - easy to collect. Registering on the nhs site is a bit of a palaver but straight forward

If you don't want to self-administer the LFT, your local council may have a "no symptoms" rapid test centre, which uses exactly the same kits (but in bulk packs).
