What a beautiful morning! I headed out just after 8 oโclock, which is quite early for me as I usually either run after work during the week or later in the morning at the weekend (after my well-earned lie-in๐!)
With the weather forecast looking so warm โ๏ธ today though, I was up earlier for my usual breakfast of porridge ๐ฅฃ with mixed fruit and almonds (yum!)
Work has been really busy this week and Iโve been finding it hard to switch off๐คฏ, so the chance to head out on to my beloved trails and the local Downslink Bridleway was just what I needed.๐ I ran around fields of long grass, navigated my way through the overgrown brambles and nettles slowly swallowing up the narrower footpaths at this time of year and found the cool, shady track of the old railway line, always so reassuring and familiar despite the ever changing scenery of the seasons.
The photo above is one small area where someone has thought to sew poppy seeds for those of us passing through and they were beautiful and so appreciated!๐
It was warm of course, so this run wasnโt about pace or time (thank goodness!๐คญโ๏ธ) and it was tough in places in the sunshine โ๏ธ but as far as those post-run feelings goโฆit was one of the best!๐

Well done Sandraj39 that looks like a beautiful place to run. We bought some bee-friendly ๐ flowers ๐น๐ผ๐ธ for mumโs back garden. Theyโre so easy to look after and really brighten it up. I hope the bees are pleased - they seem to be showing a lot of interest in them!๐๐
What a great post, you can feel the joy of that run ๐๐ what a fantastic start to the day and a wonderful route too! Very well done ๐๐ท๐ป๐ผ
Oh Sandra, that looks absolutely gorgeous! You know I love my flowers ๐ Seeing something like this on a run really raises a smile and gives us a little boost doesnโt it?
On one of my runs in spring, I passed a little patch of grass in the middle of a village and someone had planted lots of tulips which were just gorgeous and made me happy ๐๐ท๐ท
I thought when I saw the headline, "Poppy Run" that it was something to do with what happens in the month of November, no your run was along trails near a field of poppies, lovely photo and a great run for you Sandra, well done.
