Just wondering when everyone is going to run this if you entered? We have from tomorrow 29th May until 6th June. I'm aiming to get out tomorrow morning (Saturday 29th) and will now combine with my CoGH distance (I was already going to wear my CoGH tee shirt!!) Have downloaded the Run go 10k route from linda9389 March 10k as mentioned in the CoGH post, which has given me a focus as I was feeling a bit lost just going on my own to do the Virtual vitality! Good luck both Vitality runners and CoGH runners!!
London Virtual Vitality 10000 : Just wondering... - Bridge to 10K
London Virtual Vitality 10000
Morning clr.
I haven’t 100% decided but I think I will be running Sunday morning as part of a 15k training run for a future hm 😁
Morning CLR. Today I’m having my second vaccination so tomorrow will be a no show. So I will try for Sunday if not one day next week and June 6th at the latest.Good luck with your run👍👍😀😀
Good luck to you for your what will be your final run for COGH and the London Vitality Virtual 10,000, I intend to run that 10,000 next Wednesday.
I’m not doing this Clr but wish you and all your fellow runners lots of luck !
Good luck with your run Cowladyrunning ! I have my second jab tomorrow so most likely will do my run next weekend.🤞🙂
I’m also going for the 29th, supposedly the coolest day of the week.
Was planning to go today but had my 2nd jab on Thursday and felt awful yesterday so giving myself another day and will try tomorrow
I'm hoping to do it tomorrow but having been stuck on IC for weeks with a dodgy knee I'll be walking mine.😪😪 Have been building up walking distance gradually (trying to be sensible - 😂!!) and hope that I can manage 10k (as I've only done 8.5 so far).
Am so gutted that I can't run as I greatly enjoyed the virtual 10k last year.... but am trying to stay calm about it (and Vitality does say its OK to run, walk or jog). Must admit I don't feel that I should wear my race number tho!
Good luck to everyone taking part - happy running!🏃♀️🏃♂️
That's a shame, I understand your disappointment . Take it really steady and good luck walking it.
thanks. Of course now the sun is out - so are all the other runners... Tried to use RunGo to plot a 10km route on footpaths to do with my faithful hound but 2 hours later I haven't made much progress - looks like I should just get out there and walk until 5k and then return!!Well done on doing your 10k yesterday in spite of all the delays!
Hopefully on Monday. If not it will be Wednesday
I'm just back! Was a lovely morning so I just got up & out & managed 1:19:46. I think I'm going to submit this for the Edinburgh one as well, because I don't think my wonky hip can take another one any time soon unfortunately. Good luck fellow runners!
Hello CLR. I was hoping to do my 1st 10k on bank holiday Monday. I'll still try, but had my 2nd jab yesterday and just tried a 6k, but had to stop as I felt sick and completely drained of energy (never had this before, so hope I can use the jab as an excuse!) So, I'll give it a go, but may have to walk a bit of it - still haven't graduated as a 10k-er yet!!
Thanks for bringing us all together!
I actually did make it out today! I was much later than intended due to new calves being born today, fancy not waiting til I had more time! Then all the mowing of silage grass started on farm and hubby needed a picnic breakfast in his tractor. Finally escaped thinking I'd be quick but could not find anywhere to park where I'd aimed for on canal! Then it started raining!!! But I did it, was very pleased but somehow turned into a beetroot again....how fit do I have to get for that to improve??? Now to sit and wait for the medal 😊😊😊
Hi Cowladyrunning, I’m still not able to run due to injury but I’m slowly improving and I’m waiting for a physio appointment, just to make sure. There’s light at the end of the tunnel anyway🙂🤞 I’m hoping to get out and walk 10K to complete the Vitality next weekend.
I see the ‘real’ Vitality 10,000 is going to take place at Hatfield Park on 11 July this year. I’ve signed up for that and hoping I’ll be able to run it🏃♂️ I’ve got a friend who lives up that way so hopefully we’ll be able to have a picnic afterwards too!🥐🥪🥂😋
Oh sorry you're injured David and hope physio is positive. Yes I saw the real one was going ahead there. That sounds perfect for you. It's a good time away so hopefully you'll be ok then! Good luck walking this one.
Thanks Cowladyrunning! I’ve just come back from a week’s holiday in lovely Derbyshire. I was able to walk around reasonably well and even walked footpaths across country to Ladybower reservoir one day, and to the top of a hill on another. Just what I needed to recharge my batteries!🙂👍 Perhaps I’ll post about it separately as I’ve got some nice photos to show 😊
