Any of you doing LEJOG, I thought I would just say hello from JOG👋 Admittedly I came by campervan, but hey ho 😂
I’m at John O’Groats 🏴 - Bridge to 10K
I’m at John O’Groats 🏴
Oh hello Sandie! Have a fantastic time! How exciting!
Fab photo Sandie - and I’m sure it will encourage the LEJOGGERS to keep going if they have that view to look forward to! And it looks sunny! Enjoy your holiday!
Ahh missed you by a few weeks Sandie! I’m in the USA on Route 66 now! 😅
Wow, it looks gorgeous up there. Nothing like here in the SW today .... 💦💦💦 Enjoy your trip. 🥰
Well done Sandie1961 on getting to John'O Groats as part of your Tour de Ecosse, will you be running another (not) parkrun this week as you did last week at Loch Lomond?
Hi Al! We’re off to Durness tomorrow for 2 nights so planning a sneaky 5k on Tuesday morning 😉 It would be good to have a run in the most north westerly place in the British Isles
I don't think that you have been to Shetland, they say that is worth a visit, some years ago a English man thought Shetland was in the frozen north above the Arctic Circle where the sun doesn't shine for six months a year and doesn't set for the other six, I don't think he passed his geography test at school.
Looks a bit blowy there Sandie. Have a great time at the top end of the UK .
Hello! My Mum and Dad just went there as they have just moved to the area!
Love the photo Tried to get there in the '80s but got diverted. One day though I might get lucky
You are really there! Wow, enjoy your time away
Never actually been, but I'm virtually in Perth now.My much-cherished 91 year old mum spent the war years in JOG (Huna, actually), evacuated to relatives. She loves to tell stories of those days. I've promised myself to visit one day.
It’s been absolutely years since I came to Scotland and we’re doing the NC500. Some amazing sights and sites (did the tour of Neolithic Orkney yesterday!)
Hiya Sandie fab view. 👍
I think we just missed each other somewhere along the Great Glen!
Oh rats! Might catch you up as we start to head south again 😃
I’m at in a town called Ballachulish, near Glencoe. It needs visiting Sandie, it’s so craggy here!
You can make your own postcard at the end of LEJOG now! 👍👍
Oh wow!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I’m still so far away from that point but ever so slowly moving towards it!
Wow, two of our HU LEJOG runners are up at JOG for real! Real real!
Enjoy!
Fabulous! I'm still in England but inching closer to the Border. That looks like an amazing sky - how long did that last? I would never bother leaving Scotland if we could get better weather. 😄😄😄
Surprisingly the weather seems to be better here than in England. Another bright day today - now at Durness in the far north west
I visited the area with a group back in early August 2012. It was drizzling all evening. The fog was down and we couldn't see a ruddy thing when we got to Dunnet Head, and all the pointers had been taken down off the fingerpost at John O'Groats.
And I bruised a toe joint getting it caught in the thick carpet in the hotel bedroom at J-O'G.
The other days of the trip around the coast were fine. Just that one evening was dreich.
I have never visited Orkney, but I lived for nearly a year on Shetland, first near Scalloway and latterly near Sumburgh, commuting most days to Lerwick.
Hi!I've finally updated my Lejog 4 website and I've got there too (well apparently on 27th Feb) so I'll have a little celebration with you now!
