Since my C25K I've been running religiously 4 tomes a week for 5K at 5:30am, rain or shine. It's been a year now and I've been making progress to wards my 30 Min (from an original; 38:30 to 30:25 now.)However... last friday (April 1st) started having left bum cheek pain and a bit in the Left hamstring. I didn't run an have rested since then. The left cheek original has morphed into a generalised lower back ache/slight pain when i either sit down on a couch i.e lower than 90 degrees or just kicks off a a feeling of instability. I'm in good health and want to get back to my running. Am chucking ibuprofen and paracetamol down when needed but it doesn't seem to be going quickly.. Ay ideas for exercise/treatment. (I can walk around, no problem but sitting to standing sort of 'jolts' it)
cheers
Tony

Hi Tonym182, this sounds very similar to what I have been experiencing recently. In the end I booked a physio appointment with a local sports physio. She is now treating me for tight (knotted) glutes and hamstring. The adductor on the same leg is also quite tight. She has given me strengthening and lengthening exercises. I have had two sessions, booked for a third and very close to being fully sorted. Might be worth a physio visit.
