Rant incoming

Prior to last July I didn't know I had a Piriformis muscle - It made it's self known to me during a water fight with the kids in the park with a sudden 'Ouch! what the heck was that'

That was the first time I injured it - and the worse, sitting down was like having tooth ache in the bum O.o

Since then every time it's almost healed - I manage to re injure it.

First time was last Autumn - Flying karate kicks in the garden (stupid :P)

Second - Dog walk looking at something in the distance, tripped over a tree stump (also stupid)

Third time - Running with dog who put the breaks on on a path and I had to dive over him.

Forth time and this weekend - Running from bright sun into shade and missing a tree root that I tripped on...... Felt it pull again as I stumbled and landed harder and twisty on the same leg.

So frustrated as this time it was nearly back to 100% I had same flexibility both sides and no discomfort I was back at my personal best times.

It's quite literally a pain in the ass! I keep thinking it would be better to trip over the other foot for a change, then remind myself to be care full what I wish for :P

Blimey, you have been unlucky haven't you? Have you actually had it diagnosed as a problem with your Piriformis?

Yeh saw physio when it first happened.

If I could let it heal fully I'd be fine... just to clumsy/careless.

Considering you didn’t know each other you and that piriformis are getting to know each other very well now. Have you seen a physio? Maybe some intervention is needed. Hope you’re healed soon and can have a while without aggravating it.

Thanks! It's responding quickly to gentle stretches and rolling - at least I'm well versed into what to do to help it now.

Just need to stop tripping over things for a while so it can heal properly

That is really frustrating! 😩 Here's hoping that this time you get fully healed - good luck with your stretching and exercises.👍🙂
