Isn’t Mr Garmin a bully? I fulfilled my step quota easily before breakfast. Then two hours later, he’s telling me to move again. And not just a potter round the house.
Tomorrow he’s going to expect even more steps. Tyrant!!!😁😁

"Behind every successful man, there is a good woman'And maybe behind every successful Runner, there's a Garmin or similar gadget?
I turned of the increasing steps quotum. With me it is just fixed on 10.000 steps per day, which I get to exactly 1 time a week. Working from home and being a lazy bitch does not generate a lot of steps. And my 30 minute runs on weekdays don't gather that much steps...
How frustrating for you HF! Luckily my Garmin doesn’t seem to tell me I need to get up and move. Must be that my non-tech ability stopped me setting up that feature! Bargain!

Ha ha. I switched my move alert off, it was driving me mad.
I didn’t realise I could. It’s called Learned Helplessness 😶
On my Forerunner 35 : settings/activity tracking/move alert/turn off. 😉
Thanks Dexy5. A bit more complicated on mine but I got there. As a result Move! is on permanently now 😩. It’s not my day - this afternoon I was trying to sort a fault on our landline and now have disabled the whole shebang. Does Garmin ever advise staying in bed?
Oh I’ve switched off all of those annoying notifications!
I've just been reading about this in Exercised and unfortunately even if you have done a run it is still important to avoid long periods of sitting. So I do have my move alert on but I have turned the step increase off as it varies so much between run and rest days - my average is 16k a day but there are lots of days where I don't manage 10k.
I still have that annoying increasing step thingy turned on, keep threatening to turn it off. Never had the move alerts turned on, should really do it but it’ll probably keep going off when I’m on virtual meetings then it’ll be forgotten about when I’m free - well that’s my excuse anyway!
