Hi running friends,

Unfortunately I am not back running yet, but I am building up my strength with the walking and my big achievement is that I returned back to work today after 6 weeks off and really felt that I wanted to share that with you.

I am hoping to be able to start running, very slowly next month.

Really enjoying reading all your posts so inspiring and I look forward to be able to post about my running very soon πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Thank you for all your support I really love being part of this group.

Thank you so very much Peter. Yes I can’t believe I have been off work for so long, I was so happy going back today.

How are you, it must be so difficult for you.

Take care sending you a big hug πŸ€—

in reply to 9weeks2Run

Yikes Rebecca has it been 6weeks already 😬, have you had any information regarding your covid Jab yet?

I've no doubts when you get back into your trainers you'll be back zooming laps around the park again before you know it πŸ‘πŸ’ͺπŸ₯³πŸ™‚

Ah thank you so much Ian and for your support.

Yes it is unbelievable isn’t it was great reading about your RED in January!

I had it on Wednesday, so pleased. Felt a bit anxious about having it whilst having the long Covid symptoms as was worried I would feel really rough but apart from additional fatigue, achy arm and feeling a bit off was fine, so relieved I have had it, especially before going back to work.

I literally cannot wait!!! Lol I cannot tell you how much I can’t wait to run my first km!!!

Amazing you are doing the London virtual marathon ⭐️

Jeesh January seems an age away now, the weeks are flying by ( I'm sure life was slower back in the days of school πŸ‘€)

Soooo glad you're jabbed that peace of mind must be immense πŸ‘

Rebecca's red January 2022 πŸ‘ perhaps

I know, I don’t know where that time went!

Thank you, it really is. The NHS are doing such an incredible job.

Omg that would be sooooooo amazing if I could although I must say your challenge was so tough with the weather conditions you did fantastic.

Ah Rebecca, it’s so good to know you are back at work, horrible virus to catch, my daughter had it back in the summer and although not as serious as a lot of people it was the scariest time i think we’ve ever had x

9weeks2Run profile image
9weeks2RunGraduate10 in reply to SueAppleRun

Ah bless her, yes it really is so awful. How dreadful for you all. How is she doing now? I feel so blessed plus so lucky to have a job to go to. Thank God we have hope with the vaccine x

SueAppleRun profile image
SueAppleRunGraduate1060minGraduate in reply to 9weeks2Run

It’s beginning to look like the vaccine is making a difference, daughter is fine now but was tired out for a long time after she returned to work she’s a pharmacist at the hospital so it’s been a busy year Just rest when you need and don’t rush yourself you will find your energy come back x

Yey! Great to see you back! Looking forward to reading about your running journey again.

(Also, I’m sure you know, but feel invited to pop over to our sister forum Strength and Flexibility. Some of us are doing Yoga everyday and there are also other workout suggestions coming through regularly)

Thank you CBDB.

Lottie kindly mentioned it to me. I would love to try some yoga have been thinking about that for ages but I have never started it. That can be another goal for me!

Take care and enjoy your next run.

Yes, I think we have a lot of fun with YWA monthly calendars at the moment, see last weekβ€˜s post: healthunlocked.com/strength...

Brilliant, thank you for that

9weeks2RunGraduate10 in reply to CBDB

Hi CBDB, may I ask do you have subscribe to do the yoga workouts with Adriene or are they free with Strength and Flexibility? Thank you

CBDB profile image
CBDBGraduate10 in reply to 9weeks2Run

They are freely available on YouTube linked from the calendar.

So if you go to the BRIDGE calendar at s3.amazonaws.com/kajabi-sto... you should be able to click on the links to get the YouTube videos.

She also puts the YouTube videos into a video list, here is Februaryβ€˜s BRIDGE youtube.com/playlist?list=P...

So we just post links and discuss our progress on here, but when you see the videos, you’ll see there is a much larger global community chatting on YouTube comments as well. (But we chat better πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ½)

Would be great if you decide to join us!

Nice that you are back to work, yes, you can look forward to that 1st 1K, you may have to repeat, at least some of the weeks of C25K.

9weeks2Run profile image
9weeks2RunGraduate10 in reply to AlMorr

Hi Al,Thank you so much. I may repeat the whole C25K again. I really like having structure and I feel safe knowing that it builds up gently and it works!!

Hope you are keeping well, how is your running going?

Take care

I am on the IC at the moment, yesterday I had to walk my 49th virtual (not) parkrun, my right leg has been sore for a few weeks now, it's a mild form of sciatica, if I walk fast or run it gets a bit sore, hopefully, it won't be long before I can get back to running, I hope I won't have to repeat the whole of the C25K again, perhaps a few weeks starting at week 3 which I hope to do next Saturday as part of my 50th virtual (not) parkrun.

9weeks2Run profile image
9weeks2RunGraduate10 in reply to AlMorr

Hi Al, sorry to hear you are on the IC I hope your leg feels better soon. That sounds like a great plan. Horrible not being able to run. Wow imagine your 50th virtual (not) parkrun that is incredible πŸ‘πŸ‘ look at the time that has passed. Take care and good luck for next Saturday

Hi Geoff,

Oh good luck for tomorrow, I hope it goes well.

My first day back went well felt great to be back working. I have been so fatigued today but was expecting that. Feels such a positive step to be back at work. Hopefully I will soon be back out there.

Take good care of yourself x

It’s good to hear you’re back at work. It’ll take it out of you for a while I’m sure so pace yourself and get plenty of rest. Hope you get back to running soon. I’ve been for a couple of short very slow runs this week and am glad to say I coped well and my breathing wasn’t a problem. I’m taking it step by step tho. Returning to work tomorrow after 3 weeks. I’m sure I’ll be shattered but I’m glad to be getting back to some normality. Randomly my smell and taste have just come back 😊. Suddenly I could smell the dinner cooking and I’ve have tasted every mouthful. It was so delicious after 3 weeks of nothing yum πŸ˜‹ xx

Hi Frizzbomb,

Oh bless you, so sorry to hear you have had the virus πŸ€—πŸ˜˜.

That is so incredible that you have been able to go out for a couple of very slowly runs this week, so glad your breathing wasn’t a problem. Did you experience any chest tightness?

Good luck today in going back to work today, yes so lovely to get back to some sort of normality. You are doing so well. My first day back went better than expected but yesterday I was so exhausted, but I expected that.

Gosh that must have been so amazing to be able to smell and taste again, you must have really enjoyed that dinner.

Take good care and enjoy you first day back at work πŸ˜˜πŸ€—

Frizzbomb67 profile image

No chest tightness when running. My chest has cleared really well. My main issue has been painful sinuses. They are easing now too I’m glad to say as they were causing headaches. Take care x

9weeks2Run profile image
9weeks2RunGraduate10 in reply to Frizzbomb67

That is fantastic. Oh really that is awful, so glad they are easing all very positive. I am still getting some chest tightness but is feeling a lot better thankfully. My postnasal drip has been really bad since having the virus and that can cause chest tightness as well.

Hope today has gone well x
