RED Feb: it’ll be so nice when it's over

After seven days of snow and ice, I’ve nearly acclimatised to sub-zero runs, and have a new appreciation for Inuits’ variety of words for the white stuff.

It’s been fiendishly challenging to keep running every day but my new short-stepping gait seems to work on even the most terrifying ice sheets.

Later in the year, when I’m stopping off mid-run for a dunk in the sea, I’ll try and remember this crazy cold month.

And next winter I’ll invest in some Yaktrax!

Brilliant effort doing RED at this time of year. Grab those yaktrax or similar as soon as they are available, they really make an amazing difference walking and running safely. Happy running 🤗

It’s a challenge to stay upright isn’t it 🙂. I run flat footed on the ice I’ve noticed Oh well, whatever it takes Slowly, slowly does it 🙂
