Hello all Just joined this forum today (more of a regular over on weight loss support). I graduated from C25K a few months ago and since then have just been improving my running - managed to get my 5k time from 45 minutes to 37 minutes!
I've now embarked on Hal Higdon's 10k training plan, it's going well so far and I'm really enjoying pushing myself more. I've signed up for a 5k in my local park in a few weeks to get a taste of a race!
Looking forward to getting to know you all

I used to live near Brockwell in the 80s/90s. It's a bit hilly, but Clapham Common is as flat as a pancake! I've been avoiding Tooting Common as it has been busy, seemed less busy today on my walk, perhaps everyone was out yesterday when it was sunny. Lots of runners today.
Yes, I'm from Sheffield so everywhere seems flat to me! Sorry the 'big hill' bit was a tongue-in-cheek joke but I realise now that would not make sense to anyone who doesn't know the area! I don't know why that 3rd mile was slower. I do an 8-mile walking loop visiting Clapham, Tooting and Wandsworth common, they always seem quite busy to me, even in the rain, but I suppose there is very little else to do. Nice to meet a fellow South Londoner
