Newbie here

Hey all I ama newbie here having graduated c25k a few weeks back and completed 11 consolidation runs. My last two runs have been quite comfortable so I finally think I have found the right (slow) speed for my running. During my 30 min run today I was thinking that I should explore going further so that I can run different routes. At the moment I'm expanding my distance by increasing my warm down walk so that I can do interesting circular routes. I enjoy cycling and swimming and, now that I can run too, I've signed up for a novice triathlon in June - the run distance is only 2.5km but after a 200m swim and 19km bike ride it should be interesting and will require training. Looking forwards to getting to know you and seeing how far I can take this running lark.

Heya Zip54, fancy seeing you here 😉

You can also check out JuJu's Magic Plan to reach either 60 minutes of running of 10 km of running. I am kinda doing the 60 minutes plan, but have tweaked it to my own wishes. So now I am running 30 minutes on weekdays (still keeping 1 day of rest between 2 runs) and in the weekend I gradually lengthen my run until I reach 60 minutes. Awarding myself with the snail-medal I showed a while back once I reach the 60 minutes.

Not sure yet what I'll do after, maybe I'll go for 10K, don't know it yet...

Hiya Hidden great to see you here too. Yeah, I've had a look at Juju's magic plan and think I'll go for the 60 minute plan. I like the idea of doing 3 different runs in the week changing the short run so it's an interval training run - have downloaded an interval app now and ready for my first interval session which will be next Wednesday. Am also looking around for a good hill to try out hill intervals but I think I need a bit more fitness before I try running up hills without dying.
