I decided very late in the day to do RED January (New Yearβs Eve, to be precise π) because I really didnβt think I would be able to do it. But I have πππ 31 consecutive days of runs, 148.4km (wish Iβd known - Iβd have carried on for another 1.6km π€¦πΌββοΈ) and 15 hours and 56 minutes. Iβve had numerous skating rink days, snow, rain, cold easterly winds, mud, puddles and a handful of the most glorious blue sky runs and Iβve loved it. I saved my longest run of the month for today to go out on a high - 10.6k at my 6.40/km happy pace, waving and saying hello to all the other runners out there (I saw one pair of female runners 4 times as we looped round each other π). I had the Itβs a Sin playlist on again and decided to match my cadence to each track - harder than it sounds, but it made the run absolutely fly by. By some quirk, the last track as I did the final few hundred metres was Kate Bush Running Up That Hill. Final day of YWA BREATH to do later, which I am going to carry on doing. Going to have a day off running tomorrow though, then back to it on Tuesday. Congratulations to all REDers finishing today. Itβs been a blast and fantastic to have been running through the normally most miserable month of the year with so many positive VRBs.
